Help Debby curb cat overpopulation in Park Rynie

Out of her own pocket, she purchases food for the cats, has them sterilised and covers vet bills.

DEBBY Humphreys of Park Rynie Sandblasters has been looking after seven cats at her factory in the industrial park.

It all began when she came across one cat, now named Daisy, roaming around the factory in January this year.

She opened her heart and devoted much of her time, money and energy to looking after these felines, which soon grew in number.

Debby has several of her own cats at home that she has to take care of and then comes to work to see to yet another handful of them.

Looking after a pet is not as easy as it may seem and looking after the cats at the industrial park is becoming difficult for Debby when it comes to the finance side of things.

Out of her own pocket, she purchases food for the cats, has them sterilised and covers vet bills.

So far, she has paid to have 13 cats sterilised and these can be identified by the chips in their ears. They have also all had their rabies shots.

Debby appeals to all the business owners at the industrial park to help her with donations for the cats there, whether it be money for food or to help with sterilisation so that they do not overpopulate that specific area.

I want to help these cats, because no one else is really doing anything here and it would be nice if more people got on board, but I am grateful for some of the donations received so far.

It came to the point where Debby sold some of her antiques to help fund the cats’ sterilisation and feeding.
