Get behind ‘Drive4Dune’ event
Meet at Hibiscus Ski-boat Club parking lot in Ramsgate at 10am.
The fund-raiser ‘Drive4Dune’ this Sunday, November 25, is a wonderful family event arranged to raise funds for 15-year-old Dune Jansen van Vuuren of Ramsgate, who needs to raise a hefty sum of money for an eye operation.
The operation will take place on December 7.

Dune lost the vision in his right eye after an unfortunate accident earlier this year and the quote of R70 000 includes the cost of the plastic surgeon, anesthetist, hospital and prosthetic fees.
Here is the Drive4Dune programme for Sunday:
* Meet at Hibiscus Ski-boat Club parking lot in Ramsgate at 10am. Depart for Munster Motor Museum at 10.30am, where R50 will get entrance to the museum and a breakfast roll. Tea and coffee will be available.
* At noon, it’s back to Hibiscus Ski-boat Club for children’s activities. (Bar facilities will be available for the adults).
* At 1.30pm, leave for Rocky Ridge where there will be music by Jacob’s Saw and The Gentry from 2pm. Bar and kitchen will be open. R30 entrance, raffles will be drawn and bigger donations will be auctioned by Wayne from Wayne’s Auctions.
All funds raised will be used to pay for the surgical removal of Dune’s eye and its replacement with a prosthetic one.
A special fund-raising account has been opened, should anyone wish to contribute towards the fund.
