A man reportedly lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a taxi which was picking up passengers at Masinenge bus stop in Gamalakhe last Sunday.

The 20-year-old’s vehicle struck three passengers, injuring them severely, police confirmed.
The driver apparently tried to flee but was assaulted by bystanders before police arrived and took him to the clinic.
Police spokesman, Captain Nqobile Gwala, said it is believed that the man overpowered a police officer in the car park outside the clinic, took the officer’s firearm and shot himself in the head.
An inquest docket has been opened.
