Choirmaster Pippa Bromley-Gans said advent season evoked a festive feeling in everyone. “It was a cheerful gathering with carols, letters written by children to Baby Jesus and treats given out. This festive time before Christmas tells the biblical story through singing, dancing and musical accompaniment.”

Jos Neaves of Southbroom said celebrating advent before Christmas at the tennis club is her favourite part of the holiday. “The wonderful thing about advent is that it can be marked in so many different ways. The tennis club kept it child-friendly so that they could understand and enjoy it.”
