“My captors’ faces were always covered. I was moved to 17 different places, surviving only on one bowl of watery soup and two bread rolls for breakfast each day, with very little food in the evenings. Finally, the ransom was paid and I was released.”

After a musical interlude by Rob and Laura Vogt, Glenda Schutgens shared the touching story of her relationship with Jesus.

She recounted how she grew up in a happy and well-organised home.

“Suddenly I had to be my husband’s caretaker. I entered a new era where I needed advice and spiritual strength,” she said. This was when she discovered that a personal relationship with Jesus met her needs.
