It’s believed she was found by a visitor to the coast yesterday at 4pm, and that a small dog was sitting next to her body.
An update on the Leisure Bay Neighbourhood Watch confirmed that the incident had taken place.
According to unconfirmed reports, she was stabbed in the neck, presumably while taking her dog for a walk, and that nothing was stolen.
A long-time Port Edward resident said the murder had taken place at Aunty’s Bay at the end of Lawrence Road.
A businessman in the area hoped Saps would find the person who did this. “We don’t want this story to slip into silence,” he said.
