Gamalakhe double murder: ‘No bail for killers’, say protesters

Scores of people gathered outside the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court recently where the three men implicated in the murder of a Gamalakhe mother and son made their appearance.

The men, aged 26, 23 and 22 years, are accused of murdering Doris Ntozakhe (70) and her son Sfiso Ntozakhe (34).

They were found covered with blankets and locked inside a bathroom at their home in Walter Sisulu Road.

The demonstrators, made up of ANC, EFF and community members, brandished placards bearing the words ‘No bail for offenders’ and ‘Life sentence for killers’.

Following intensive investigations, the 26-year-old was found in possession of Sfiso’s car in Empangeni. The other two suspects were arrested in Gamalakhe.

The 26-year-old was released on R3 000 bail while the other two accused remain in custody.

The case was postponed to March 25.
