Saps officers recognised for long service

Scottburgh Saps station commander, Colonel Ralph Ruiters, was among several other station commanders who were present to recognise these recipients.

Members of the police force who have served their communities and country for 10, 20 and 30 years received medals at the 2019 Saps Medal Parade.

The parade took place at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre in Gamalakhe, Port Shepstone last Thursday, February 21.

“The gathering celebrated an important milestone in the careers of members who have served in the South African Police Service with distinction for a number of years,” said Port Shepstone Saps Ugu Cluster communications officer, Captain Petros Mpinge.

The parade was presided over by the deputy provincial commissioner, Major General Bheki Langa.
