Team Pro-Vision wins hospice quiz night

Five teams competed but there was only one winner.

South Coast Hospice held its first quiz night of the year at the Lion’s Den in Umtentweni last Thursday. Five teams competed but there could only be one winner.

Questions asked ranged from ‘what is the Rainbow Room at Kingfisher House used for’ to ‘what do dragonflies prefer to eat?’ and it turned out that team Pro-Vision had the answers.

Defending champions, The Lions, lost on their home turf, but remain the heroes of the evening having donated the use of the venue for the quiz night.

“We were happy to welcome four returning teams and one new team. Thank you to the Port Shepstone Lions for sponsoring the venue. We have a series of quiz nights planned for the year and look forward to welcoming new teams. Thanks to our quiz master, Tracy Visagé, for volunteering her time and effort,” said BT King, South Coast Hospice’s fundraiser.

Well done to Joanne Beaumont on winning a popcorn maker that was raffled on the evening.

Winners of the South Coast Hospice quiz night held at the Port Shepstone Lion’s Den in Umtentweni last Thursday are (from left) Naveshin Moodley, Aashish Lautan, Prevasha Rugbeer, Sadhna Moodley, Shakeela Baskali and Santhos Baskali from team Pro-Vision.

Wondering what the answers to the questions are? The Rainbow Room is the children’s palliative care room in the Kingfisher House Inpatient Unit at South Coast Hospice.

And if you want to keep your dragonfly happy, be sure to feed it mosquitoes or fruit flies.
