A 36-year-old man was found dead on the side of the road in Uvongo on Tuesday morning this week.

Police found Sizwe Makhamba with a stab wound to his stomach. Margate Police spokesman Sergeant Sibu Ncane confirmed the incident and said subsequent investigations had led to the arrest of a 55-year-old man from a nearby farm compound.
The accused appeared in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court on Monday, March 11. The case was remanded to March, 25 pending further investigations.
The man remains in police custody.
