A woman was arrested on Monday this week after a female foetus was found in a pit toilet at a tertiary education centre in Bhobhoyi last Friday.

Police were called after a fellow pupil discovered the foetus. According to police spokesman Petros Mpinge the woman had purchased tablets to abort the foetus.
A concealment of birth case has been opened for investigation by the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) in Port Shepstone.
