ONE of the men suspected of murdering Ifafa resident, Mark Langford Blaine (70) earlier this month is still at large after escaping from GJ Crookes Hospital in Scottburgh.
“Police are searching for the suspect who escaped police custody while receiving medical treatment for a dog bite which he sustained during his arrest,” said Provincial Saps communications officer, Colonel Thembeka Mbele.
Two other suspects were arrested in a joint intelligence operation at Qoloqolo near Hibberdene on Friday, March 15. One of the suspects appeared in the Umzumbe Magistrate’s Court for a bail application.

The case was remanded to Tuesday, March 26. The other is still awaiting a court date.
Mr Blaine was murdered in his rented farm cottage hours before his 71st birthday.
His landlord, Wolfgang Wagner discovered his body in the kitchen the next day when he noticed that the gate to the property had been left open.
