A domestic argument led to a mother being arrested for allegedly poisoning her two children.
On Tuesday this week the 27-year-old woman from the Izingolweni area apparently drank a poisonous substance before giving the drink to her son (10) and daughter (9).

Police spokesman, Captain Petros Mpinge said a social worker reported the incident to police after the children’s father climbed through a window to get to the children and took them to hospital.
“The woman, who was unharmed, has been charged with attempted murder and is in police custody until her court appearance today (Thursday).
The children are in a stable condition in hospital.
