Special Easter assemblies were held at Merlewood Primary last week.
This was in line with teaching themes and the celebration of Easter. Many thanks to all the pastors who took time out from their normal schedules to conduct the assemblies and for enlightening pupils on the significance of Easter.

The school extends heartfelt condolences to the families of the pupils and others in the community who suffered losses during the recent floods.
Two days of learning and teaching were lost due to the bad weather.
An appeal is made to all parents not to keep pupils at home unless absolutely necessary as teachers are now busy with a catch-up programme.
There is are vacancies for two parents on the School Governing Body. A by-election will be held at the school next Friday, May 10, at 2pm.
Parents are urged to make themselves available. for election.
