Scottburgh Lions treat locals at Easter

Caring for the community they serve the Lion members went around the South Coast area during the Easter weekend and gave out hot cross buns and Easter eggs to less privileged children and senior citizens.

The Easter bunny is known for spreading love, joy and tasty treats throughout the Easter period and so is the Scottburgh Lion’s Club.

Caring for the community they serve the Lion members went around the South Coast area during the Easter weekend and gave out hot cross buns and Easter eggs to less privileged children and senior citizens.

Their first stop was the retirees at Esperanza where the senior citizens were appreciative of the kind gesture.

The Lions then went to Schola Amoris School in Umzinto and several crèches which included the Vulamehlo crèche, Bringing Hope crèche and Zamani crèche in Amanzimtoti among others.

“It was truly heart-warming to see the smiles on these children’s faces when we gave them Easter eggs,” said Colleen Brown of the Scottburgh Lions.
