The Olympiad, which is open to grade 9 pupils, is there to help pupils decide whether or not to choose accounting as a subject for their final school years, as well as to give them the chance to test just how well they have mastered the accounting syllabus thus far – all while standing the chance to win some great prizes.
How can your school get involved?
High schools who wish to have their grade 9 pupils to take part have until Friday, May 24, to submit their entries.
Schools are required to submit a maximum of fifteen entries per school. Participating schools will be selected by the district coordinators of the provincial departments of education, in conjunction with SAICA. A total of 500 pupils will take part in the Olympiad on August 7 in each province.
The entry form and Olympiad rules are available on SAICA’s website.
