Umzinto residents had a bit of a breather last weekend after enduring water supply issues for the past week.
There had been numerous complaints about water being shut off at odd hours or pressure being very low, and although no reasons have been given for these problems, it seems as though they may now be a thing of the past.
Preston residents still seem to be battling with the large number of potholes in the area –potholes which have been getting bigger and bigger over the months. One can only hope that this catches the eye of the municipality soon and that these are then dealt with.
Another resident from the area wishes to thank the municipality for finally seeing to her verges, which were long overdue for trimming and had actually reached fence height!
An issue of late in Park Rynie is the number of dogs roaming the streets, day and night. The town has many strays, but there have been times when collared dogs have been spotted on the road or trying to get into someone else’s property.
Please make sure that your gates are always closed and that your dog remains on your property to avoid a potentially nasty traffic accident or an expensive dog fight. Also, if you are walking your dog, make sure that it’s kept on a leash.
