Together with the Qiniselani amaNyuswa tribal council and Department of Education (DOE-Ugu district), the trust has identified further projects and programmes they will be involved with during the months ahead.
Nozipho Mbotho from the DOE-Ugu district said KwaNyuswa is a rural community, with high poverty and unemployment, which makes it difficult for many families to afford school uniforms for their children.
“We are so grateful for the support of the NPC Education and Entrepreneurial Development Trust who continue to empower and champion the education needs of pupils in the Ugu district,” said Ms Mbotho.
She further stated that the department looks forward to building relationships with schools in order to improve upon and support the educational needs of pupils.
South Coast Community Development Committee (SCCDC) member Samantha Podmore said the SCCDC strongly believes in the value of education and building a strong generation of minds in schools today.
