IMPORTANT NOTICE: New date for 12-hour water shutdown this week
Please note when and where the shutdown will take place so you can be prepared.

Ugu District Municipality has announced that the planned 12-hour shutdown of the Bhobhoyi Water Treatment Works will now take place on Thursday, June 6 from 5pm to Friday, June 7 at 5am.
This is for the scheduled replacement of the inlet raw water flow meter.
Areas affected are:
- Hibberdene
- Southport
- Anerley
- Port Shepstone
- Bhobhoyi
- Shelly Beach
- Uvongo
- Margate
- Ramsgate (north and south)
- Gamalakhe
- Murchison
- Marburg
- Nyandezulu
- Msikaba and
- Part of KwaMadlala.
Customers are urged o use water very sparingly during this period as full supply restoration is expected 24 hours post-shutdown for high lying areas. Based on demand, some reservoir outlets will be closed to maintain storage and enable quicker restoration.
Please also note that relief supply, where required, will be prioritised to health facilities due to the limitation of water tankers.
