Knit Twits plan to purl in public
There will be knitting lessons so bring the children and the grandchildren along.
Join the Ramsgate Knit Twits for the Worldwide Knit and Crochet in Public Day at the Ramsgate Whale Deck Enviro Centre this Saturday, June 8 from 9am to 12pm.
The ‘Ramsgate Knit Twits, Yarning for Charity’ is a group of women who meet once a week to knit items which they sell and give the proceeds thereof to certain charities.

The group was started five years ago, and is headed up by Hazel Voice of Ramsgate.
Bring your latest project or your knitting needles or crochet hook. There will be knitting lessons so bring the children and grandchildren.
Hazel said they are hoping for lots of delightful yarn bombing – so come and learn how to make a ‘yarn bombed’ driftwood mobile.
“We are hoping for a colourul, happy and fun morning,” she added.
Donations of yarn are more than welcome.
Home crafted, organic, upcycled and recycled items will be on sale.
