Great gigs at Rocky Ridge this weekend

Treat dad to an afternoon of mellow music and good food at Sunday Blues this Sunday (16th) which is Father's Day.

Music lovers are spoilt for choice at Rocky Ridge in Ramsgate this weekend when two great outfits will hit all the good notes. Mavericks Blues Band a three-piece blues/rock group from Durban performs this Saturday (15th) from 8pm. Entry is R40 per person and the venue opens at 6pm.

The band, which was formed in 2014, comprises Mark Lewin (drums), Nicolas Matter (base guitar) and Richard Davies (lead guitar and vocals). They play several sets which he includes a wide variety of favourite artists including BB King, Jimmi Hendrix, Joe Bonamassa, Robben Ford and JJ Cale to name a few.

Catch Jacob’s Saw at Sunday Blues at Rocky Ridge in Ramsgate this Sunday (16th).

Jacob’s Saw has been working non-stop on a new album and local fans will be the first to hear a few of the numbers as well as the classics from their first album.
Entry is free. Venue opens 12pm and Jacob’s Saw is on stage from 1pm.
These performers are all passionate musicians who welcome the opportunity to perform – do support live music, it’s still the best.
