Academy holds cultural fun day

The best fun was had when pupils showed off their dancing skills.

It is almost unbelievable that term 2 is over and Hibberdene Academy has had a very busy two terms.

As a fund-raising event, the gr 11 group organised a cultural fun day.

Pupils came to school in traditional cultural outfits and sold curried beans, amadumbies and sweet potatoes.

The best fun was had when pupils showed off their dancing skills and dance routines were fast and energetic.

Hibberdene Academy pupils (from left) Thando Zondo, Nana Mthetwa, Malaika Majali and Pamela Ngema wore bright, colourful outfits and beautiful cultural bead-work at last week’s fun day.

Pupils and parents are wished a safe, relaxing holiday.
