Fun and fashion at Scottburgh car show

It's time to take a drive down memory lane.

THE tenth charity Scottburgh Classic Car Show will be held at Scottburgh High on Sunday, July 7 and is sponsored again by the Rising Sun community newspaper, which is part of the Caxton stable.

Hundreds of pre-1975 classic cars and bikes will be on show and the event is expected to attract thousands of enthusiasts, not only from KZN, but also from several other provinces.

MG will be the featured marque this year and a moving parade will illustrate its history over the years.

There will be two hours of moving parades including the unique ‘Fun and Fashion Parade’ which will provide amusement and glamour for all.

Modern bikes will be welcome and can park ‘on the hard’ next to the show field.

There will be a free depository for their gear while they enjoy the show.

There will be a wide variety of food available as well as a beer tent and the delightful Ilala Tea Garden.

Here you can relax and enjoy delicious sandwiches and cakes while overlooking the show and parade driveway. Parking for the disabled is available on the show-field.

Gates open for exhibitors and 7.30am and visitors at 9am.

Visitors admission: R40 for adults, R20 for pensioners and scholars, children under 12 free.

Secure parking will be available at Scottburgh Primary School at R10 per car with free shuttle busses for those who do not want to walk the short distance to the show.

Alternatively, cars can park in the streets surrounding the schools.
