Talented pupils compete in eisteddfod

The event showcased talent from the pupils of the Sa Re Ga Ma Music Academy.

The KZN Tamil Vedic Society held its South Coast region’s children’s eisteddfod at the Andhra Sabha Hall, Lion’s Grove on Monday this week.

The event showcased the talent of the pupils from the Sa Re Ga Ma Music Academy of Port Shepstone in front of a large gathering. Under the guidance of Vernon Govender, the music guru of the academy, the build-up to this eisteddfod saw many long hours of training put in by the participants.

Pupils who were placed first in their categories at the eisteddfod will perform at the 57th inter-regional eisteddfod finals in Merebank, Durban on July 6 and 7.
