Golfers raise funds for hospice at Southbroom

Scores were quite good on the day.

Malcolm Moorley and Piet Joubert won the South Coast Hospice day at Southbroom Golf Club last Saturday.

They carded 48 points to win by two from Don Osbourn and Bob Clark.

There was a three-way tie on 45 points, shared by Craig Treherne and Grant Richards, Candida Amm and Jill Webster, as well as Malcolm Greenland and Derek Pieterse.

The previous Wednesday’s competition saw Chris Ledden and Peter Volck take first place on 72 points, counting out Chris Miller and Derek James.

In third spot on 67 points were Derrik and Bruce Matthew, as well as Gordon Moody and Dave Page.

The women’s competition was won by Allyson Thomas and Rene Matthew on 63 points, from Annette Scholgen and Lesley Godley on 56 points, with Sandy FitzGerald and Val Volck in third place on 55 points.

Chicken Run: Marisio da Costa 20 pts, Wilhelm Steynberg 17 pts, Martin Hutton 17 pts, Bones Coertzen 17 pts and Vic Coltman 17 pts.
