Devotion: An inedible image

Jesus answers us in Gospel of John ch.14 v 9-14, “Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father”.

Like your DNA, never to be removed is the inedible image of God which is carved, imprinted if you like into the heart of every human being by the Father.

People speak about Him, some write about Him and often artists take up the brush and try to paint portraits of Him. Scripture says no man has seen the heavenly Father… UNTIL… Jesus came and firmly established it in Gospel of John chapter 1 v 18, “No one has ever seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, Who is in the bosom (that is in the intimate presence) of the Father, He has declared Him, He has revealed Him. Brought Him out where He can be seen; He has interpreted Him, and He has made Him known.” (Amp Bible)

How long are we going to keep saying, ‘show us the Father?’

Jesus answers us in Gospel of John ch.14 v 9-14, “Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father”.

Let me explain, Jesus is the answer to the deepest longing of our heart. To know our original Father, is it not to believe and be convinced that Jesus and the Father are one so the scriptures say. (v10)… Here’s your answer – get to know Jesus.

Prayer: Father, in Jesus name reveal Yourself to me through Your Son as I worship and read Your Word. Thank You. Amen.
