Sheppie Snippets: Church to hold bazaar
Everyone is invited to attend and celebrate spring.
THE Reformed Church South Coast (Gereformeerde Kerk Suidkus), on the corner of Colley and Bazley streets, Port Shepstone invites all to celebrate spring at its bazaar on Saturday, September 7 from 8am to 1pm. Shoppers can stock up on lovely home-baked goodies, hand-made items, second-hand items and so much more. School fund-raising
Suid-Natal Primary is hosting a dinner and dance at Van’s Roadhouse in Margate on Saturday, August 31. This is a fund-raising event for the school.

Tamil golf day

Prayer
The Umbango Sri Siva Soobramanior Alayam invites all to its annual Ganesha Chaturthi prayer (Ganesha Prayers) on Monday, September 2. Hawan will start at 5:30pm followed by a service dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Supper and prasadam will be served and all are welcome. Family fun day
The annual Bread of Heaven charity run will be held at Port Shepstone Senior Primary next Saturday, September 7. Some of the fun activities planned for the day include, cupcake decorating, face painting, food stalls and a 5km fun walk/run. Entry fee is R50 for adults and R20 for scholars. Market day

Fishing compo
The annual Maistry Rock and Surf fishing competition take place on September 21. Two of the designated fishing areas are the Sandspit and Margate pier. Starting time from 6am. There are great prizes to be won with special prizes and gift hampers for women and scholar anglers. Entry fee is R50 per person. Weigh-in and prize giving will be at the Action Sports Bar, Marburg at 2.30pm. Tickets are on sale at Lucky’s Sports Port Shepstone and Manaba.
