Family attacked during house robbery in Marburg
The 33-year-old man was stabbed multiple times.

A mother and son had a traumatising experience when they were attacked at their home on Deepvale Road, Marburg in the early hours of this morning (Friday).
According to Lazer 911 Security, a man gained entry through the kitchen window whilst the family was asleep.
At about 2am the Lazer control room received a panic from the house.

“The woman whispered that they were in trouble and our reaction officers responded immediately.
Within three minutes the officers were on site and spotted the mother screaming in the lounge. Officers jumped the wall and headed towards the house and as they approached the front door the suspect tried to stab one of our officers with a kitchen knife but was subdued and arrested,” said Basil Lanka of Lazer 911 Security.
According to police spokesman, Captain Petros Mpinge the 67-year old woman was asleep when she heard her 33-year-old son screaming for help while being attacked by the intruder. The attacker then demanded cash and a cellphone and took other property. The son was stabbed multiple times and was taken to hospital.

The suspect (26) has was handed over to police and placed in custody. He was charged for house robbery and will appear in court this Monday, September 2.
