Port Shepstone Islamic School’s U15 girls’ volleyball squad brought home the Association of Muslim Schools Volleyball tournament trophy held at Nizamia Islamic School in Pietermaritzburg last Saturday.
Congratulations to Afsana Ally, Saabira Shaikh, Shaqira Beck, Kalimah Madolo, Saudah Jungitoo, Tanzilah Panchbhaya, Amina Cele and Ayesha Amegee.

A Quranic recital competition featuring 60 reciters from 15 schools was held at Verulam Islamic School last Saturday.
Imraan Sardar excelled and took first place in the senior category while Uwais Ameen placed second in the junior category.
Abdullah Mahmood and Ilhaam Amod did well to attain silver and bronze awards at the Science Expo held in Umzinto recently.
The school will host the AMS KZN Schools’ Provincial Volleyball Tournament at the Albersville Astro Arena on August 24.
