Pastor Hufft said gender-based violence is one of the most devastating social challenges facing South Africa and its democracy at present.

Welcoming guests to the women’s gathering are (from left) Misha Hiralall, Joeleen Moonsamy, Bernice Barath and Mandy Naicker.

“Every day we hear about abuse against women and children or read about violence, including murder and rape. At this gathering we had women of all races, the broken and abused, to join us in evenings of praise and worship, dance and encouragements.”

She added that the gathering gave women the boost needed to return to their lives, inspired and ready to start new, let go, keep going, accept change, shift perspectives, be seen, create more, slow down, or whatever it is that life is asking of them.
