Plaques removed for safekeeping

Any family member or relative wishing to claim a plaque may do so by supplying some form of proof.

The 300 brass plaques on the Wall of Remembrance at the Oslo Beach crematorium, commemorating Moths who have answered the sunset call, have been removed and are in safekeeping.

Moth Lew Lloyd-Evans said the decision was taken after the flagpole at the Wall of Remembrance was stolen.

“The plaques are in safekeeping and any family member or relative wishing to claim a plaque may do so by supplying some form of proof or contract within the next six months,” he said.

“After the six months, the plaques will be disposed of with any financial gain being donated to the Moth Order.”
