Betania school robbed of electronic goods

The value of the stolen items is estimated to be around R90 000.

Excellent police work has resulted in the recovery of several electronic tablets which were stolen from a school in Betania during the school holidays.

On Tuesday this week, Port Shepstone Saps Social Crime Prevention officers followed up on information received regarding the stolen property.

Police spokesman, Captain Petros Mpinge said a 38-year-old man who was found in possession of the stolen electronic tablets. “Sergeant Dumisani Zulu and Constable Ziningi Khena arrested the man. He is due to appear in the Port Shepstone Magistrates Court today (Thursday) on a charge of possession of stolen property.”

The value of the stolen items is estimated to be around R90 000. “The public is advised to report any criminal activities to their local police station and not to buy stolen property as there could be legal consequences,” said Capt Mpinge.
