Talk of the Towns: Unexpected visitor ‘spotted’ in Freeland Park
While walking out of her home, she came across a snake hanging from a tree, staring her right in the face.
DIWALI has come and gone, just like that.
Well, as a matter of fact, I could say the same thing about the whole year.
It feels like just yesterday we were all complaining about being broke in Janu’worry’, and now it’s almost time for Christmas again!

Something else to add to your calendar – Kingdom Ministries International will be having a family fun day this Saturday, November 2.
Entrance is free so make your way down to the Umzinto Sports Field opposite Bhai Plaza.
A parade from Umzinto Primary (opposite Adams) to the sports field at 8am will kick of the day’s events, and drum majorettes are expected to join the walkers.
There’ll be lots of activities for the whole family, including bike rides, stalls, jumping castles and loads more, and there will be prizes to be won.
On another note, a Freeland Park resident had quite an encounter on Monday morning this week.
While walking out of her home, she came across a snake hanging from a tree, staring her right in the face.
Even though she was pretty shaken up, she decided to go back to capture its beauty and share nature’s wonder with everyone else.
Luckily it was nothing to be concerned about – just a spotted bush snake.
It’s usually around this time of year that snakes start slithering around again so do be more alert when outdoors.
