A husband and wife residing in Umzinto were found murdered last Sunday, November 17.
Sawoti Saps officers were patrolling the R612 near Braemar when they discovered the 28-year-old woman’s lifeless body lying on the side of the road.

“She was found with a gunshot wound to her chest,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer Captain Adam Francis.
Her body was removed and taken to the Park Rynie Medico Legal Mortuary for an autopsy.
The deceased’s husband was later found dead in KwaMakhutha in the Ezimbokodweni area near the river.
“The 23-year-old man was found inside a car with gunshot wounds to the head,” said Saps KZN Media Centre spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala.
Police have confirmed that nothing was stolen from the male victim and a case of murder is being investigated by KwaMakhutha.
Detective Warrant Officer Lucas Ngcece of Sawoti Saps is investigating the woman’s murder and can be contacted at 039 9719000 should anybody have any information pertaining to the case.
Captain Gwala added that the deceased are yet to be identified.
