Tweni Talk: Conservancy works hard to prepare deck
Tell everyone to visit the whale deck, but please implore them not to make a mess of it.
Umtentweni Conservancy again stepped in to rescue the Tweni whale deck. The work party team pulled up last Saturday, sanded and varnished in a valiant effort to remove graffiti and to get it back to looking its best for the season.

While the men were wielding power tools and paintbrushes, the women were busy tidying up the gardens. Tell all visitors to visit the whale deck, but please implore them not to make a mess of it. Take photos and leave the deck in a pristine condition.
Meeting a hero
Kyle Solomon and Braygan Massey were part of the Marlin indoor hockey team that travelled to Cape Town to play. The team was so excited that Hashim Amla was on the same plane and they got to meet him. Games were won and lost, but the morale was high. Well done to all involved.
Safe season
Law Enforcement, Saps CPF and security companies will be visible at Tweni beach this season. With keeping all beachgoers safe this season in mind, they are setting up a base to the right of the car park just before the entrance to the beach. Please report anything directly to them.
Happy occasions
Congratulations to Denise and Christopher Cummings of Umtentweni. They are very proud to announce that their daughter Carley got married last Saturday.
Upcoming birthdays are Danie van Tonder and Kalan da Rosa (11th), Kim Jones, Dianne le Roux and Vanessa Cotterall (14th), Allen Clark. Dirk Schoeman and Tony Olivant (16th), Gerhard Prinsloo (20th), Deseré Crouse (24th) and Mandy Pretorius (26th).
Eskom load shedding in Umtentweni has been interspersed with faults which has caused a lot of confusion and added to the irritation. All news to Leila.
