The event inspired communities to live more consciously in harmony within the environment.
The third annual Mpenjati Eco Festival, held at The Whitehouse, Mpenjati Nature Reserve on Monday this week, was a fun-filled event aimed at raising money for the Mpenjati Honorary Officers fund.

The jam-packed family programme included trail walks, children’s activities, guest speakers, exhibits and local unplugged music – all aimed at inspiring communities to live more consciously in harmony within the environment.
KZN Ezemvelo Wildlife Officer Richard Dobson told the Herald the event sought to to highlight the necessity of conserving environmental resources.
“All over the world, festivals like these, both large and small, are making people conscious of their ecological footprint,” he said.
The festival drew to a close with the singing of Christmas carols.
