Sister Duduzile does it yet again
Our very own Duduzile Ndlovu, a sister at Port Shepstone Hospital who works in the Rape Trauma Centre has been nominated in the healthcare category.
Eighty of South Africa’s most prominent women will be vying for one of twelve awards at the sixth Women of Stature Awards ceremony being held at the Indaba Hotel, Fourways, in March next year.
Amongst the finalists, who were announced in November, is our very own Duduzile Ndlovu, a sister at Port Shepstone Hospital who works in the Thuthuzela Care Centre, who has been nominated in the healthcare category.

The annual Woman of the Year awards are not limited to any particular field of endeavour, and for this reason rank among the most prestigious awards in South Africa for women.
Woman of Stature managing director Charlotte du Plessis says, “The 80 finalists are each prominent within their careers. They each reflect our values and focus at Woman of Stature, which is empowering other women, whether through active mentorship or just by setting the example of leading a purposeful life.”
Ms Ndlovu says she feels humbled by the nomination. “Winning this award will give me a bigger platform and a louder voice to fight for injustice in this country and ensure women empowerment becomes a priority for them to be able to make positive life decisions, as they need someone to hold their hand when starting a new journey, be it after domestic violence or rape/sexual assault.”
She said it was an honour to be selected as a finalist for such an empowering cause. “It is indeed a cause dear to my heart and I’m looking forward to making a difference in the lives of other women.”
