Young Gcilima musicians plan to ‘take over’
Thandokuhle and Lindokuhle are currently in the process of releasing their first mixtape.
Brothers Thandokuhle and Lindokuhle Njeya, well-known by their popular stage names ‘Taygram and Trill’ have once again taken over the festive season by creating music for all ages to enjoy.
The Gcilima born and bred gentlemen started to make music at the tender age of 10-years-old with just a little knowledge of crafting and producing music.

Today, they get to share the stage with some of the most talented and award-winning South African musicians with their own creation of music.
Thandokuhle (18) and Lindokuhle (19) have mastered the sound of hip-hop but have recently ventured to other different sounds and versatility is what makes them stand out from the rest of their peers. Rouge, Nadia Nakai, Nasty C, A-Reece, Heavy-K and Professor are just some of the artists that they have shared stages with, entertaining crowds of all different ages who resonate with their music.
“Our secret is releasing music that our fans relate to and not following what every other artist out there is doing,”says Thandokuhle.
With South Coast being the less likely place for big artists to search for talent, it has proved time and time again to be one of the smallest towns to brew and produce big names who have surely put South Coast on the map, people such as MlindoDaVocalist, one of their musical inspirations.
The sensational upcoming duo says their last ensemble ‘Ungowami’ featuring Sfiso Shinga (Sfeeso on Keys) was their huge break and introduction to the industry, and has certainly increased their fan base as it touched a different sound from their usual.
It also given them a prestigious opportunity to work with one of the best producers in South Africa, DJ Raybel ‘Nayi le walk hit Maker’.
Currently promoting their new released song titled Angbong’Umah which give thanks to their mother for always being there through challenging times.
The song has been well received by all age groups as it relates to many childhood stories of South Africans. Thandokuhle and Lindokuhle are currently in the process of releasing their first mixtape, which fans must look out for in March 2020. You can follow them on all social media platforms.
