Trainee sangoma murdered in Umzinto

The mob burnt down the house as well as five other rondavels belonging to a traditional healer.

A TRADITIONAL healer’s house on Mistake Farm in Umzinto was recently attacked by a large group of people.

The mob hurled stones at the house, startling the occupants who then fled and took cover.

“A trainee sangoma (19) was injured and was later found dead near the Diphini taxi rank,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Adam Francis.

The mob burnt down the house as well as five other rondavels belonging to the traditional healer.

A 60-year-old woman and 23-year-old man have been arrested.

Umzinto Saps Detective Constable Ningi Dlamini is investigating.
