Tuning In: Enjoy a stress-free evening with this babysitting offer

Children will be fed, have a short Bible talk and be entertained and well looked after for the rest of the evening.

February – the month of love, so they say. I hope that there will be a lot of loving kindness, caring and understanding, respect and compassion – but why just this month? Why not every day?

One intriguing issue at the moment is that the forecourt at Malanda Halfway Toyota in Widenham is quiet. The Caltex sign has been erected, but there are no pumps and no visible work in progress. This has been like this since the middle of 2019 and it would be great if someone in the know could let us know when work will be started or if work will be started?

There is a car-boot sale every month at Scottburgh Country Club and I unfortunately missed the February one. The next one will be the first Sunday in March (March 1). For further information contact Louisa Watts at 084 3686905.

Members of Clansthal Conservancy are so clever. They have erected a sign which reads ‘In the forests and the mountains, on the beaches, in the rivers and the sea, animals do not leave trash or litter like humans do.

Please behave like animals. Have a fantastic day in Clansthal.’ Apparently the sign has caused some controversy and some people are offended.

Standing in the express queue at a local supermarket (express meaning 10 items or less), I was hard pushed not to say to the trolley-loaded people in front of me “Which 10 items are you taking out of this load?” I simply don’t understand how there can be adults who just don’t conform to rules and regulations – behaviour which inevitably causes discomfort to others.

Happiness is always an inside job.
