Robbery suspects arrested in joint operation

The two suspects were found in possession of stolen property to the value of around R100 000.

A JOINT operation by various law enforcement agencies resulted in the arrest of two men wanted in connection with a number of robberies between Umkomaas and Amanzimtoti.

Members from ET Rapid Response’s tactical response team, Umkomaas Saps crime prevention and Metro K9 unit followed up on information received about the suspects and searched houses in Umlazi and Lamontville.

The two suspects were found in possession of stolen property to the value of around R100 000.

Some of the stolen property included clothing, gumboots, a flatscreen TV, surround sound equipment, and jackets.

Investigations continue.
