Wild Coast Sun provides lunch for roadblock staff
General manager of the Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino Resort Peter Tshidi described the this as a "massive clap of support" for the men and women in blue in the front line.
While the coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc globally and plunged the country into a national state of emergency, management and staff of the Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino Resort have been providing lunch to the SAPS and Ray Nkonyeni Municipality traffic officials operating the Covid-19 roadblock at the Umtamvuna bridge in Port Edward.

General manager of the Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino Resort Peter Tshidi described the this as a “massive clap of support” for the men and women in blue in the front line.
“Those manning the roadblock, working night and day to save lives are the real heroes of this crisis, and we want to do our small part to support them. It’s hard for anyone to operate on an empty stomach, let alone people trying to save lives,” he said.
Colonel Devan John of the Mzamba Police Station said he was surprised and thankful as, like many of his fellow workers, he doesn’t often get to sit down and enjoy a hot meal at this time.
