The vast experience she has gained as a result of working in a number of police environments such as detective services, support services and crime prevention has enabled her to give of her best to the organisation. Prior to her transfer to Ugu Cluster, she worked at the provincial head quarters in Durban for 17 years. In 2003 she completed her Masters Degree at Mancosa which further contributed to her academic growth and expertise.
Ugu Cluster Commander, Major General Sethenya Nxamagele thanked Lt-Col Govender for her service.”The 39 years and 11 months of selfless and patriotic action is deeply appreciated by the organisation and she is wished a happy and healthy retirement with her loved ones.”
