Eid is a Day of Remembrance
Even in their most joyful times the Muslims make a fresh start to the day by plural worship of God. They pray to Him and glorify His name to demonstrate their remembrance of His favours. They also remember the deceased by prayer for their souls. the needy by extending a hand of help, the grieved by showing them sympathy and consolation, the sick by cheerful visits and utterances of good wishes, the absentees by cordial greetings and sincere considerateness, etc.

Eid is a Day of Forgiveness
When the Muslims assemble in the congregation of the Day, they all whole-heartedly pray for forgiveness and strength of faith. And God has assured those who approach him with sincerity of His mercy and forgiveness. A true Muslim would be deeply impressed by this brotherly and spiritual assembly, and would overcome his ill-feelings if he has been exposed to any.
Benefits of Fasting
The benefits of Ramadaan are not limited to the spiritual elements of life. Fasting also has moral, psychological, physical and medical benefits.It is an act of obedience and submission to God. It teaches patience and perseverance and especially during Ramadaan, promotes the spirit of human equality. All Muslims, male and female, rich and poor, from all ethnic backgrounds, go through the same experience.
Quran is not just a books of do’s and don’ts
Association fasting with the month of Ramadaan reminds Muslims that it was during this month that Allah perfected His blessings on mankind by giving his last book, the Quran. “Ramadaan is the month in which the Quran was sent as a guide to mankind, with clear signs for guidance and judgment between right and wrong. So everyone of you who is present (at home) during that month should spend it in fasting.” Quran 2:185.
The Quran not only shows man the right path but also guides human reason and lays down a clear distinction between right and wrong, good and evil.

What is Eid in Islam?
