A six year old girl from Ward 22 in Murchison sustained serious burn wounds when boiling water fell on her on May 29.
Port Shepstone Saps communications officer, Capt Petros Mpinge said she was rushed to Murchison hospital and later transferred to Port Shepstone hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on June 5.

Police have opened an inquest docket.
According to the child’s family, the funeral will take place on Saturday, June 13.
