Margate pool gets rave reviews

Mr Meek said he really wants to congratulate Gareth Tennant and the work his team have been doing on making the pool such an asset to the South Coast.

The Olympic pool in Margate of late is looking magnificent.

Clean, clean, clean both inside and out the water.

Neville Meek, who swims at the pool almost every day in the summer and has been since 1980, said it is such a delight to see this wonderful asset on the South Coast in such a magnificent condition.

Gareth Tennant and his team have been praised for his good work.

“And I know what a job it is to make sure the pool is so clean and sparkling. Particularly in these times of challenges with Covid-19 restrictions, resources and, of course, all the users of the pool.”

Mr Meek said he really wants to congratulate Gareth Tennant and the work his team have been doing on making the pool such an asset to the South Coast.

His constant vigilance and maintenance is really making a difference.

“Thank you for making my morning exercises a pleasure. For those of you who want to get fit, learn to swim or just have fun – there is no better pool. Although, mornings – lane 2 is mine,” he said, laughing.

The Herald has also fielded other calls praising the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality team on the WOW improvement.
