Head-on collision in Shelly Beach leaves one seriously injured
The coastal road was closed for about an hour earlier today to allow paramedics to attend to the accident scene.
Traffic came to standstill earlier today while emergency services attended to an accident scene along Marine Drive in Shelly Beach.

Glen Preston of Med-Evac said a bakkie and a car collided head-on leaving two people with moderate injuries and one seriously injured.

All three were transported to hospital.
“The Ray Nkonyeni Municipality Fire Department had to use the jaws of life to free the person entrapped in one of the vehicles,” he said.
