SPCA opens new charity shop

There is lots going on at the animal welfare society which relies on public donations to keep afloat.

The Lower South Coast SPCA has opened a new charity shop at the SouthCoast Mall.

Its doors opened last Saturday.

The SPCA needs all the support from the community – and all second hand donations are welcome.

There is lots going on at the animal welfare society which relies on public donations to keep afloat.

On June 11, the society will be hosting a Hibiscus Impound at their premises in Uvongo from 6am to 6pm.

The aim of the game is for you and a friend to stay a night (12 hours) in one of the brand new kennels that are being built at the SPCA.

Instead of being bailed out (as per the norm), you will need to raise money before June 11, in order to bring in your comforts from home.

R1 000, will allow you food for the night.

R2 000, you get to bring along a blanket to keep you warm, plus the above.

R3 000, you can add a bed of sorts to keep you off the floor, plus the above.

R4 000, you may bring along your favourite toy from home (i.e. cell phone/ tablet or a good old book), plus the above.

R5 000, you get to have breakfast before you go, plus the above.

Each company/persons are to try and promote their kennel as much as possible to try and generate as much funds as possible.

All funds raised will go to the running of the SPCA, and need to be paid over before June 10.
