Zimasa Sigede, Siphosethu Mndiyata and Amanda Shabana of Merlewood Secondary School were recently selected to take part in the University Preparation Programme (Uprep).
The event took place at the Anton Lembede Academy and was hosted by a representative from Stellenbosch University.
Learners found the experience educational and were registered on the Uprep online platform where virtual classes for physical sciences and mathematics will be conducted for the remainder of the year.
Learners were thrilled to be awarded tablets, complimentary keyboards, monthly data, textbooks, and other essential stationery to assist them during their online learning journey.
