Margate detectives held a suspect raid in Nkothaneni, Manzamhlophe and Gcilima on Monday this week.
It yielded positive results as nine men aged between 20 to 36 were arrested for various offences including assault with an intention to cause bodily harm, house robbery and rape.
Police have recovered some suspected stolen property including cellphones.
They are detained at Margate police cells and expected to appear in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s court soon.
Margate station commander Brigadier William Slabbert applauded the members for the arrests and that these criminals are where they should be – behind bars.
